Being almost entirely surrounded by water, there is no surprise that our precious West Palm Beach and South Florida properties are prime real estate for rodents. Most take residence in attics, but will not hesitate to nest elsewhere in the home. With humans providing excellent shelter and food, it is no wonder they have been living side by side to humans for centuries. The three commensurable rodents which are dealt with on a regular basis in this area are: the Roof Rat, Norway Rat and the House Mouse.
The roof rat is extremely agile and is a tree dwelling rodent which generally lives in coastal areas. They find entries into homes through soffit vents, open AC lines, holes in the roof, etc. The Norway Rat is the largest of the three, and a ground dweller. It will burrow under structures and enter homes through broken pipes and any other opening they can find. This rat can withstand colder temperatures and is typically found inland, but may also be found around coastal areas. The house mouse is the smallest of the three and can enter the home through any opening ¼” wide or larger. They are the most numerous mammals on the planet aside from humans and are responsible for countless food losses due to contamination.
All three of these rodents are disease vectors and have the potential to cause serious health concerns. Safe Home is dedicated to removing these pests and keeping them out. We seal all entry points and give a guarantee that as long as your service with us is kept; you are covered for a reseal if they happen to wriggle back in over time.
